The Classroom
2010
The Classroom was an exhibition that included sculptural and 2-d artworks that focused on the aesthetics and experience of education and included a series of four talks. The lecturers, Anne Marie Oliver, Sean Regan, Helen Reed, and Barry Sanders, were invited to use the objects in the exhibition as props during their presentations.
The book A Classroom Reader, (see below) is the physical trace of those public events: a meditation on education through the subjects of mediology, metaphor, gift-giving, transmission, tradition, and the imagination.
