With this work we screen-printed the phrase "We already quit" onto a banner of hand-stitched towels, sending it straight out the studio window and into a dumpster below. The piece is about notions of escape and feelings of futility around wage-work, and how difficult it is to 'quit' in a world where it is increasingly hard to get outside of the market.

This piece was made during a residency in Omaha, Nebraska at Bemis Center of Contemporary Art.
