A Limited Anthology of Edits, is an annotated reader that brings together a variety of texts and materials concerning the intersections of art and editing. The act of editing, which seems at first to be a straightforward, exclusively retrospective, utilitarian act, confined to the world of writing and publishing, can be extended to include much more. It can mean the taking apart and putting back together of a clock, the cleaning of an aging fresco, the making of a mix tape or the compression of a digital file, the amendment of a history book, the evolution of a recipe, the creation of an exhibition, or the reading of a text.
